In August 2008, I celebrated my thirteenth anniversary with Evergreen.  This has been and continues to be a wonderful experience to work with the staff and congregation.  I truly look upon my position as part of the ministry of this fine church.

I was born in Kirksville, Missouri and graduated from high school in Brookfield, Missouri in 1966.  Jim and I married in 1968 and have lived in Virginia, Arizona, Mississippi, and Alabama.  We moved to Dothan from Selma, AL in 1981 when Jim accepted a teaching position at Wallace College where he continues to work as a Mathematics Professor and Chairman of the Math, Science, and Computer departments.  We have two children, Michelle and Mark, and three grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, and Presley.  They all live in the Dothan area.  Michelle is assistant director at Evergreen’s preschool and also teaches the three year old class.  Mark is a Juvenile Probation officer for Houston County, and Jackie teaches first grade at the Highlands Elementary School here in Dothan.

While living in Selma, I was a secretary for an elementary school.  I have previously worked as a secretary at Wesley Manor and secretary for Covenant United Methodist Church.  After working a short time at a local bank, I decided to return to church work.  One of my favorite hobbies is counted cross-stitch, and I love spending time with our grandchildren.

Jim and I are actively involved at Greystone United Methodist Church where I currently serve on the Staff-Parish Relations Committee and continue to be Chairperson of the Foster Children Program.
