Learning at Evergreen is integrated throughout the life of the church – through its worship, Sunday morning classes, Wednesday evening Logos program, retreats, festivals, seminars, special educational events, mission projects, Confirmation classes, new member orientation, Bible studies, Advent and Lent workshops, Summer Celebration.
Learning opportunities are provided for all age groups, from the very young all the way to the not-so-young!
A variety of curriculum and venues are used including:
- Feasting on the Word curriculum for Sunday School
- Arts activities during Sunday School and Logos
- Living the Good News curriculum for Logos
- Uniform Lesson Series – The Present Word – for older adults on Sunday morning
- Topical studies for adults
- Disciple Bible study for adults
- Community Bible studies for adults
- Presbyterian Youth Connection – includes mission, study, worship, and fellowship activities for the youth each month
- Christ Kids activities – activities for pre-school through 5th grade children monthly
- Touchstones Pre-school program – 5 day program that meets from 6:30-5:30 Monday through Friday
- Evergreen’s Center for Dialogue and Discernment hosts monthly interfaith lunches and discussion
- Periodic lectures from visiting experts on hot topics
- Periodic trips to the Holy Land
- New for 2011-12 – Coffee Club discussion/meditation on Sunday mornings for young adults
