KOINONIA

"Koinonia" is a Greek word meaning "community," or "community."
Koinonia involves the connection of one life to another.
It involves fellowship but is concerned with much more than social gatherings.
It is as difficult to define as to achieve.

To build this sense of community, our Koinonia group offers the following activities:

First Sunday Congregational Meals--These covered-dish meals are usually held the first Sunday of each month following the Morning Worship and center on a seasonal theme. Contact the Church Office for more information.

Mini-Retreat--Each year Evergreen tries to sponsor an all-church mini-retreat in the late summer at a nearby campground.

New Member Orientation--Immediately after joining the church, new members are oriented to the church with a packet of information and time of explanation, taken on a tour of the church facilities and informed about activities and opportunities, have pictures taken for New Member Board and assigned to a church family for 3 months.

Christ Kids Activities--Each month seasonal activities are provided for children in ages P though 5th grade. Check the church bulletin and the Evergreen newsletter, The Grapevine, each month to see what is planned, or contact the Church Office.  Meets first Saturday - 11:00 a.m., unless otherwise noted.

Supper Clubs--These groups meet monthly at hosts' homes or at local restaurants and provide fellowship to adults of similar ages. Contact the Church Office for more information.

Older Adult Activities--Seasonal activities are offered that may include trips to Calloway Gardens, local concerts, and plays.
